Description

The National Institute on Aging, IRP, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Operon Biotechnologies, 19300 Germantown Rd., Germantown, MD 20874 for neurogenetics lab primers needed for on-going experiment. Changing variables at this time would result in incorrect interpretation of the experiments in progress. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 325414 and the size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirement of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the government.
