Description

The 56th Contracting Squadron has a requirement to repair and secure 8 hangar doors at Buildings 983 and 985. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. This acquisition will be unrestricted under the small business competitive demonstration program. Equal weighting will be given to past performance and price. NAICS - 236220 Size Standard - $28.5M SIC ? 1522 Magnitude: Between $100,000 and $250,000 Scope: The contractor will provide all labor, materials, transportation and tools necessary to repair and secure hangar doors in B-983 and 985 on Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The contractor will be required to provide and install new weather stripping and all necessary parts to make all leafs lockable. This project will also require the installation/repair of rollers at upper guide tracks and all races and hubs at railroad wheels. Adjustments and or repair of braking systems will be necessary to ensure a completely functional project. Upon completion of the project a functional check will be provided and all manuals will be turned over to Civil Engineering. A mandatory site visit will be required for this project and dates and times will be stated in the forthcoming solicitation. At this time any plans will be available for inspection without charge. The solicitation will be available on or about 17 May 06. The solicitation package will be located at www.fbo.gov. Prospective offerors will be responsible for obtaining the solicitation from the website and checking the site for current information, to include amendments. All offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (www.ccr.gov) and the on-line Representations & Certifications (http://orca.bpn.gov/)
