- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), Arnold AFB TN, intends to award a sole source contract to GE Fanuc Embedded Systems, Inc., 12090 South Memorial Parkway, Huntsville AL 35803 for ten (10) Single Board Computers (SBC), GE Fanuc Embedded Systems Model No. VMIVME-7807-422000, one (1) VxWorks Board Support Package (BSP) for VMIVME-7807 series Central Processing Units (CPUs), GE Fanuc Embedded Systems Part Number VMISFT-7418-013579, and one (1) VxWorks BSP for VMIVME-7750 series CPUs, GE Fanuc Embedded Systems Part Number VMISFT-7418-013571. This requirement is to upgrade existing GE Fanuc Embedded Systems hardware and software in order to maintain functionality in the Test Article Control System. Procurement made from another vendor would require significant redesign and software modifications. Estimated delivery time will be 45 days after contract award. This synopsis is approved for a sole source contract action as authorized in FAR 6.302-1 (supplies or services are considered to be available from only one source). No solicitation package will be issued. However, all interested sources may identify their interest but must provide proof of capability to provide an acceptable product by submitting pricing data, an accurate description of the equipment offered, and make and model numbers of the equipment. Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will not be made on the basis of responses received to this synopsis. If no favorable responses are received by close of business (4:00 PM CST) 17 May 2006, a contract will be negotiated with the above named source. VMIVME-7807-422000 Technical Specifications.
