Description

The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed priced contract to Clean Drying Beds at the Waste Water Treatment Plant, Building 712, Hunter Army Airfield, GA. The Contractor will be responsible for, among other things, the following: Cleaning of w et sludge beds, six (6) in all, and contents disposed of monthly, as near as possible to the same date each month, regardless of volume, water retention or weather conditions. Sludge volume/weight will vary and cannot be predicted. Each bed is 20 cubic yar ds. A minimum of 15 days notice shall be given to the COR and Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) to allow the WWTP personnel time to complete the pouring process and allow time for the sludge to be filtered and processed properly. DOT #3 sand will be repl aced in the drying beds after removal of sludge is performed, maintaining the level at a minimum of 8 consistently through the beds at all times. The contractor shall provide roll-off containers, which must be lined with a minimum of 6 mil plastic sheetin g. This project has a Base and four (4) Option Periods. The SIC Code is 4952; the NAICS Code is 221320 and the Small Business Size is $6.0M. The solicitation will be posted on the Internet on or about 16 May 2006.
