Description
The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with MC Technologies, LLC for Web Based consolidated hazardous chemical and materials training program and services for the VAMC North Chicago, located in IL. To the best of our knowledge the web based hazardous chemical program from MC Technologies, LLC is the only source which provides web based training, testing and tracking by the categories of chemical hazards that employees may be exposed to in a specific work area. Courseware content and the system have the capabilities to assign MSDS to one of the thirty-six chemical categories and provide safe use guides and training for each category. Each safe-use-guide identifies the safety precautions, potential hazards as well as the correct emergency response for fire, spills, and injury or first aid for the specific chemical category. Furthermore, the system prints secondary labels that correspond with the numbered categories that each respective chemical is assigned to, enabling immediate employee response. Labels provide and contain chemical name, all the physical and health hazards, and target organs effects, routes of entry, and PPE. The MAXCOM System is fully compliant with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200 and courseware is updated and maintained by the contractor. Contractor is Section 508 compliant. Technical support of courseware is provided by the contractor. Questions relevant to course content are addressed by the contractor?s subject matter experts. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with MC Technologies, LLC.
