- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will issue a Request for Quote (RFQ), for Atenolol Tablets, in the following strengths: 25 mg. - est. annual usage 60,703,530 tablets; 50 mg. - est. annual usage 80,548,410 tablets; 100 mg. - est. annual usage 18,964,110 tablets. Award will result in a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) pursuant to Clause I-FSS-646 of the Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract, for mandatory use of Atenolol 25 mg., 50 mg., and 100 mg. strengths, by the VA Medical Center facilities and Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacies (CMOPs). If you currently do not have this product on your FSS contract, you will need to add the item before an award can become effective. The purpose of this RFQ is to award Atenolol in large or bulk containers for repackaging and distribution (under a VA label) to the medical centers by PrePak Systems located in Cookeville, TN. Contractor would be making shipments approximately once a month to this one site for repackaging. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. A request for quotations will be issued on or about May 12, 2006. NOTE: PRODUCT MUST BE MANUFACTURED IN A DESIGNATED COUNTRY, A CARIBBEAN BASIN COUNTRY, OR A NAFTA COUNTRY (UNITED STATES, CANADA, AND MEXICO). A LISTING OF DESIGNATED COUNTRIES AND CARIBBEAN BASIN COUNTRIES MAY BE FOUND IN THE FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATIONS (FAR) PART 25.003.
