Description: The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a Sole Source Contract to Hamilton Sundstrand for the manufacture of an estimated six (6) NP2000-3 propeller systems for delivery in FY09 to support the E2D Pilot Production Aircraft. The Government intends to establish options for an estimated six additional(6)NP2000-3 propeller systems for delivery in FY10 and FY11 to support Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP Lot 1) and procure Line Replaceable Units (LRU) to support the propeller systems. Only Hamilton Sundstrand possesses the technical knowledge of the propeller design, production engineering requirements, and complex systems integration parameters to provide the qualified propeller system in time tomeet the E2D aircraft production schedule.
