Description

The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland intends to award a Sole Source follow-on contract to NOETIC SOFTWARE, INC of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania to write, test, modify, and correct the communication, display, and navigation unit (CDNU) software for the Aircraft Integrated Maintenance System (AIMS) installed in the CH-46 helicopter. The procurement of these services from Noetic will allow the government to rapidly integrate the most recent AIMS software load into the CDNU software without expanding current code or lose current functionality. While other companies could eventually perform these services, Noetic software is the only company capable of providing these services without substantial duplication of cost and unacceptable time delays. As a result, Noetic is able to preserve the ability to easily incorporate additional AIMS enhancements that are expected in near future. The intended period of performance for this contract is one year beginning 1 July 2006 with options for two additional years. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. Note 22 Applies.
