Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency [U S EPA] Environmental Sciences Division [ESD] intends to award a fixed-price Purchase Order using Federal Acquisition Regulation [FAR] Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial Items and FAR 52.214-4 Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. The Government will award a Purchase Order resulting from this request to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation provisions, offers the best value to the Government. The automated, programmable, benchtop centrifuge needs to have g-force of 20,000xg and range of speed from 500 to 16,000 rpm. The unit should have the ability to self-monitor. Audible and visual self diagnostic alarm with a least a two-year warranty. Should come with a wide range of rotor capabilities for various analysis [including tubes, various bottles, and microplates]. The centrifuge should be able to be programmed and locked by operator, ideally settings should be programmable for various runs, an automatic cooling system with 10 minutes of run. The unit should be able to set for a fixed angle rotor at 45?; tallstack microplate rotor with 4400 rpm and hold stack 90 mm tall; swing bucket to hold four 250 mL bottles; fixed angle rotor with up to 6 places for 80-85 mL tubes, and 15,300 rpm [23250g]. Vendor must provide Federal Tax Identification Number, Dun and Bradstreet Number, and Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for award. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339111. Any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA?s requirement as stated herein may submit a response which, if received within 15 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered.
