- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intend to procure on a sole source basis a Project Coordinator from David Badman. The coordinator shall have knowledge of the following: 1) Academic research communities engaged in drug development; 2) The process of preclinical testing of candidate drugs and the regulatory process governing this process; 3) NIH procedures for processing and review of scientific proposals; 4) NIH confidentiality and conflict of interest requirements; 5) Maintain working relationship with CIT web design staff; 6) Communication with applicants and principal investigators of successful proposals to provide them with authoritative, timely, and reliable information about the proposal process; 7) Maintain working relationship with all extramural offices to ensure timely implementation of approved projects; 8) Take a leadership role in outreach to potential applicant groups; 9) When directed by the senior NIH staff overseeing the program, make presentations to interested groups; 10) participate n strategic planning efforts for future development of the NIH-RAID Pilot Program; 11) Organize and conduct a process for evaluation of the program, and develop a report from this effort. David Badman has all the requisite professional background, experience, and training to provide NIDDK the service. By Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 22 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
