Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. DESC: The requirement is for Rebuilding NHC-250 Fuel Injector Pumps for Cummins Engines. Solicitation Number W9127Q-06-T-0033 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This docume nt and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business and is restricted to small businesses only in accordance with FAR 19.502-2(b). The North Am erican Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811118 size standard is $6.5. The resultant contract will be a performance-based requirements contract, base year with option to extend the contract two additional years. Individual task orders shall be placed against the contract when the Government has a requirement for the services. Item 0001--Base Year, 22 May 2006 through 21 May 2007, estimated quantity of 240, Item 0002 --Option Year, 22 May 2007 through 21 May 2008,estimated quantity of 350, Item 0003--Option Year, 22 May 2008 through 21 May 2009, estimated quantity of 350. The Mississippi Readiness Sustainment Maintenance Site (MSRSMS) will furnish the Injector Pumps for rebuilding in the following condition: Rebuild NHC-250 Fuel Injector Pump for Cummins Engine. 1. The scope of work for Rebuilding Fuel Injector Pump for Cummins NHC-250 809 Series Engine listed as follows: a. Vendor will pick-up and deliver to RSMS. b. Vendor will perform the following on Fuel Injector Pump for NHC-250 809 Series C ummins. Vendor will furnish all labor and materials. Vendor shall pay all transportation costs to and from MSRSMS, Camp Shelby, MS. (1) Break down, Clean, inspect, and calibrate to manufactures specifications. (2) Replace as needed: Plungers, Springs, S eals, and Gaskets (3) Warranty pumps for one (1) year even with the use of JP-8 fuel. (4) Pump may be declared un-repairable if it has a broken shaft or housing that would be high pricing based on a per pump basis. (5) If the vendor has rebuilt NHC-250 Injector pumps in Stock, The RSMS will do a one for one Swap, by turning in a core for the NHC 250 Injector Pump in exchange for the vendors rebuilt Injector Pump. 2. This Requirements Contract will be for One (1) Base Year and Two (2) Option Years. 3. Minimum of 15 Injector Pumps Weekly, Maximum of 60 Injector Pumps Monthly. This solicitation will result in a contract being established for a Requirements Contract for the service/supplies and effective for the period s tated. The quantities of supplies specified are estimates only. Except as this contract may otherwise provide, if the Governments requirements do not result in orders in the quantities described as estimated or maximum, that fact shall not constitute th e basis for an equitable price adjustment. Any order issued during the effective period of this resultant contract and not completed within that period shall be completed by the Contractor within the time specified in the order. The contract shall govern t he Contractors and Governments rights and obligations with respect to that order to the same extent as if the order were completed during the contracts effective period; provided, that the Contractor shall not be required to make any deliveries under th is contract after May 22, 2006; 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract (Mar 2000): (a) The Government may extend the term of this contract by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days; provided that the Government gives the Contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least 60 days before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension. (b) If the Government exercis es this option, the extended contract shall be considered to include this option clause. (c) The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under this clause, shall not exceed beyond May 21,2009.
