Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District intends to solicit and award on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.501(a), Sole Source Acquisitions for procurement of all necessary components to install an Automated Disposal Su rveillance System (ADDISS) onboard the Dredge McFarland. Award is intended to be made to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). The contractor will also be required to provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week support system with supporting p ersonnel to ensure the system is running efficiency. The system shall be monitored by a contractor-furnished computer to be installed on the bridge of the Dredge and the monitors should be capable of displaying the drag arm positions. All work shall be gin on or about 11 May 2006 and be completed no later than 31 July 2006, when the Dredge is either in Gulfport, MS or Norfolk, VA. No RFQ will be issued at this time. However, all information received within five (5) calendar days after date of publicati on of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. All contractors are required to be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
