- Description
- Navair Orlando Training Systems Division has a requirement for the development of an Improved Navy Lighterage System Operator Trainer (INLS-OT). INLS is designed to support expeditionary and theater logistics requirements through Sea State 3 (SS3) by expanding our ability to sustain forces ashore. These operations involve the rapid loading and unloading of cargo and war fighting materials from afloat pre-positioned assets. The primary goal of the INLS is to provide Logistics Over-the-Shore (LOTS) cargo throughput capacity through SS3 in the most efficient and cost effective manner. The INLS-OT is being developed to train the tasks associated with the operation and maneuvering of the warping tug (WT) and causeway ferry (CF) aspects of the INLS. The contractor shall deliver, install, and test the INLS-OT system. Installation shall include all tasks necessary to interface the trainer with the existing facility power and local area network. All work shall be completed IAW all national and local safety, fire, and electrical codes. The INLS-OT should include the following features: (1) Warping tug (WT) and causeway ferry (CF) visual and hydrodynamic models. (2) Pilot house mock-up. (3) INLS control console to include Nautronix display, positioning control equipment, software, radar system, navigation system, and interface to the Virtual Ship Simulator System. (4) A visual image display system. (5) Instructor/Operator station. (6) Closed circuit television (CCTV) video monitoring system. (7) Communication system. (8) One spare hard drive for each system computer. (9) One 300 gigabyte external USB hard drive to be used for ghosting system hard drives. A Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract is contemplated with a required 24 Month period of performance. North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is to be determined. All interested parties should submit at least a brief capabilities statement, BUSINESS SIZE, and past and/or current on performance (limit to within 3 years) on similar contracts (include dollar value, complexity and Point of contact).
