Description
The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires a contractor to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, secured vehicles, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide off-site sensitive paper destruction services and recycling of SSA administrative, classified, and sensitive documents from buildings in the Baltimore, Maryland area for the Social Security Administration. Materials for destruction may include: white and mixed paper, shredded office paper, both white and mixed color, bond paper, post-it notes, computer paper, envelopes, forms, and newspapers. It is the intention of this contract that all materials, both shredded and whole, must be shredded by the contractor before recycling. The contractor shall provide shredding of all sensitive paper by a ?crisscross? shredding device or other acceptable method. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, transportation, supervision, etc., to remove and recycle the recyclable materials generated by the Social Security Administration. Recyclable items shall be picked up as part of the paper shredding pickups. Recyclable materials are intended to be recycled and cannot be land filled or disposed of in any manner other than to recycle. Contractor shall provide written documentation that the recyclable materials have been sent to a recycling facility. The term of the contract shall be a base period of one (1) year and four (4) ? one (1) year option periods with an expected start date of August 1, 2006. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS Code for this procurement will be 562920 with its associated small business size standard of $11.5 million. This acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on Federal Business Opportunities on or about May 10, 2006. A site visit is scheduled tentatively for May 24, 2006.
