- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking proposals from Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Construction firms for a project. This procurement is for the construction of the Early Site Infrastructure Work at the H. J. Heinz III Division of the Pittsburgh VA Healthcare System. Contractor shall furnish labor and materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, coordination and services required to perform and complete the work required by drawings and specifications including, but not limited to, the following: -Site Demolition and Grading. -Construction of new roads, parking lots and sidewalks Landscaping. -Modifications and additions to site storm water system and sanitary sewer system and storm water detention basin. -Modifications and additions to site water service and gas service. -Modifications and additions to site electrical service and telecommunications service, and new exterior lighting. -New chiller and cooling tower added to existing chiller building #52 including integration of the piping and control systems with the existing systems and acoustical screening for cooling towers (new and existing). -Additions to chilled water system including extension of chilled water piping through existing building #51, capped for future extension to future buildings. -Additions to steam piping system including extension of steam piping through existing building #51, capped for future extension to future buildings. -Alterations in the basement of existing building #51 to enclose new chilled water and steam piping where exposed in occupied spaces. The offeror shall furnish, obtain any and all necessary licenses and/or permits required to perform this work in the state of Pennsylvania. Cost Range for this procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220. Solicitation documents will be available on or about May 19, 2006. Proposal documents are available at a cost of $250.00 per set, refundable upon return to Astorino at the above referenced address. A Pre-Proposal conference is scheduled for June 7, 2006 at 1:00 PM Local Time at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, H. John Heinz III Progressive Care Center, Delafield Road, Bldg 51, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh , PA 15260. Sealed proposals are due to the Contracting Officer by June 20, 2006, 3:00 PM EDT. All Offerors must ensure that their firms have the ability to provide both 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bonds.
