Description

On behalf of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Environment, Safety and Occupational Health-Installation and Environment) (ASA-(ESOH-I&E)) and in accordance with FAR 6.3, the Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) intends to execute contract under other than full and open competition  on a sole source basis to Enersol Technologies, Inc., a small business. This effort is to procure equipment and services to build and test an operational pilot unit that was designed to use the PEPS gasification proce ss to convert petroleum coke to high quality useable Synthesis Gas (syngas). This effort includes building and testing the unit to demonstrate that it is efficient, environmentally compliant, and cost competitive for alternative fuel applications. Site s election, using pre-established criteria, and all necessary site preparation activities are also part of this effort. This notice is valid until 19 June 2006 and is NOT a request for proposals. The Government does not intend to submit a solicitation for proposals. The Government shall not be liable for, or suffer any consequential damages for any technical information provided. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the disc retion of the Government. Award is anticipated on 19 June 2006.
