Description
The U.S. Army Product Manager Forward Looking Infrared (PM FLIR) intends to solicit proposals, on a full and open competitive basis for Drivers Vision Enhancers (DVE) Vehicle Mounting Hardware Assemblies as outlined below. The Government is contempla ting issuing a solicitation within the next 45 days for production and test of the DVE Vehicle Mounting Hardware Assemblies (known as the DVE A-Kit). The purpose of this program is to procure quantities of the Drivers Vision Enhancer (DVE) A-Kits (vehicl e interface hardware). The contract will be a multi-year contract and will have two basic years with additional option quantities within those years and two option only years for additional DVE A-Kit quantities. The approximate value of the contract(s) w ith options will be $155M. This effort will also include a Time and Material (T&M) Engineering Services option to enable the contractor/s to perform host system integration/installation services, studies, and engineering/maintenance support in CONUS/OCONU S. The DVE A-Kit consists of the brackets, cables, connectors, and other miscellaneous hardware necessary to integrate the DVE B-Kit (Sensor and Display Control Module) into the various tactical and combat vehicles (both Tactical Wheeled Vehicles (TWV) an d Combat Vehicles (CV)) that use the DVE system. When integrated with the DVE B-Kit, the A-Kit must meet all the requirements set forth in the applicable Performance Specification (MIL-PRF-49256A, Rev B), Interface Control Drawing (ICD)-3236577 and other drawings. The DVE A-Kit supporting documents are available on the IBOP or through the Contracting Officer under DVE A-Kit. The United States Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) has established the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Interact ive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) to provide electronic transmittal of RFP from the Government to Industry. All interested parties wishing to do business with C-E LCMC are encouraged to register as a user well in advance of the anticipated RFP issuanc e and to check the IBOP frequently for updates. To become a user of the IBOP you will need a User Identification and Password in addition to a computer terminal equipped with the necessary hardware and software to interface with the IBOP system.
