Description

The General Services Administration (GSA), Upstate New York Service Center, anticipates modifying existing Contract GS02P96CTC0045 with LB&B Associates Inc. for mechanical maintenance services to extend the period of performance for 2 months beginning 1 July 06. The noncompetitive extension is to provide the continuity of services. The inability to complete this work would cause a major disruption to every tenant agency and would quickly require closure of the entire building. Continuity considerations preclude the use of another contractor for preventive maintenance work that is already well underway or nearing completion. No solicitation document will be issued for the extension. The follow-on mechanical maintenance services acquisition plan is currently in progress. GSA intends to issue a competitive solicitation via GSA ADVANTAGE to FSS schedule holders under NAICS category 811002 in June 06.
