Description

Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Contracting Office, is doing market research to seek sources/manufacturers of a pre-engineered, two-floor, steel, live fire training facility with attic space. The following features are required: A 16 degree (1/2? in 12?) single pitch roof with a live load of 100 psf, a wind load of 25 psf, and a live deck load of 100 psf.; interior stairs going from the first floor to the second; interior fixed ladder from the second floor to the attic; interior and exterior steel doors; steel shutters on the windows which can open; a 4? x 4? chop-out curb opening with cover on the roof; two burn rooms capable of withstanding 2300 degrees Fahrenheit; computer programmable temperature monitoring system capable of controlling the location and size of the fire as well as turning the system off when a predetermined temperature is met; two burn simulators (kitchen and bedroom); ?Flashover? burner and corner burn area; smoke distribution and generator system; exhaust fan ventilation system; roof guard rails with openings for ladders; and fire control room and window. This is not an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). Interested manufacturers should provide descriptive literature to the Contracting Officer by 15 May 06.
