This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for modified-commercial items prepared under FAR Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, and prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this request. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and this announcement constitutes the solicitation request. This requirement is being issued by GovWorks under the Department of the Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of Army Broadcast Service. GovWorks Procurement will handle the solicitation, and resultant contract administration as well as payment of invoices. Product Description with Required Quantities: BASIC SPECIFICATIONS The requirement is for the purchase of a Software Incremental Throughput Licensing Upgrade for 4 Army Broadcasting Service operational sites. This software incremental throughout upgrade will be utilized for Army Broadcasting Personnel to produce and transmit news, command information, programming and Emergency Broadcast Warnings to US forces and Family members in the EUCOM, Korea, Southcom and Centcom AOR over existing US NIPERNET infrastructure. The Orbital Data 5500 IP Accelerator systems are already in use by Army Broadcasting Service and integrates with programming and services provided by the American Forces Radio and Television Service and with Army Broadcasting Service broadcast automation equipment.
