Description
The purpose of this MODIFICATION TO NOTICE is to: Remove the size standard for the NAICS code and FAR authority that states this procurement is a sole source requirement. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), NCEH/ATSDR Office of Terrorism Preparedness and Emergency Response (OTPER) proposes the establishment of a standing, rapid-response field research team to gather the lessons learned in public health responses to natural and technological disasters (including terrorist threats and attacks) in the United States, to analyze this information across multiple desasters in order to identify predictable patterns and trends, and to desseminated this information to planners and practitioners so they can improve their responses in future disasters. The team will consist of a principle investigator from the NCEH/ATSDR, OTPER, and contracted disaster researchers(s) and disaster public health expert(s). The Offeror shall demonstrate that they have the appropriate training expertise, experience, and availability to plan and implement this project as described in the Work Statement. The contemplated period of performance is 12 months with one 12 month option. Note 22 (amended) ? The approximate release date of the RFP on the FedBizOpps Website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) is on or about May 15, 2006. The RFP due date will be approximately 30 days after posting of the RFP. The RFP will be available only by downloading at this internet sit: www.fbo.gov. All questions/concerns about the RFP package shall be submitted in accordance with the RFP instructions via to rjenkins@cdc.gov. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 541720. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL BE ACCEPTED. There is no plan to mail out hard copies of the RFP.
