- An Invitation for Bid Number W911KB-06-B-0009 will be issued on or about 23 May 06. This solicitation will be available in electronic format only and will be available for download on or about 23 May 06 on the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeD S) website in electronic format at https://fedteds.gov. This system has replaced the Alaska District Electronic Bid Sets (EBS) website. In order to view the solicitation, interested firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http: //www.ccr.gov and in FedTeDS. In order to register for FedTeDS, a vendor or contractor must have the following information: Your Companys Central Contract Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) (You can get this from your Compa nys CCR Point of Contact or from the CCR website.); Your Companys DUNS Number or CAGE Code; Your Telephone Number; and Your E-Mail Address. Once you have this information you register in FedTeDS by clicking on the Register with FedTeDS link on the home page. The solicitation shall be issued on a competitive sealed bid basis per FAR 19.8 and Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(a)). This competition is limited to 8(a) firms serviced by the SBA Alaska District Office or 8(a) firms with bo na fide branch offices in the Alaska District. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. Competition will not be restricted by stage of 8(a) program participation. Any resulting contract will be firm-fixed priced. The Davis-Bacon Act will app ly. All responders are advised that this project may be canceled or revised at any time during the solicitation, selection, evaluation, and final award. Process based on decisions related to DoD Changes and disposition of the Armed Services. The governmen t shall not be responsible for bid preparation costs in the event the solicitation is canceled. All contractors are advised that they must be registered in CCR and ORCA (http://orca.bpn.gov). The requirement for the submission of both Performance and Payme nt Bonds, in an amount equivalent to 100% of the award price, shall be applicable; therefore the successful 8(a) firm shall have the capability to acquire such bonding. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Provide material, equipment, and labor to repair the worn concre te surface supporting each of the three arresting cable barriers that cross the runway at King Salmon A.S. The repair will be accomplished by milling an approximate area of 150 ft long by 2 ft wide by 2 inches deep into the worn concrete surface for each b arrier and backfilling with high strength concrete patch material. A high density polyethylene wear pad then will be installed on the repaired concrete surface at the barrier at the south end of the runway only. The poly wear pad is available from more th an one supplier and can be shipped from the lower 48 within 2 weeks of ordering unless cutting pieces to size and predrilling is to be done by supplier, in that case can be shipped within 6 weeks. The poly pads require anchor bolting into the patched concr ete for installation. The Estimated Magnitude of Construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS: 237310, Size Standard: $31 million.
