- Amendment 001 issued 5/9/2006 to include Options for part number 2947A and to extend the response date to 5/15/2006. Options for part number 2947A to include the following: Option 15 - EDACS Radio Test Option 16 - EDACS Repeater Test Option 30 - Bail Arm and Front Panel Stowage Cover 23422/005 - AC Supply Lead 43138/755 - DC Supply Lead 54421/001 - BNC Telescopic Antenna 44991/145 - Microphone with PTT (Push to Talk) 46882/285 - Operationg manual 46882/286 - Service manula Training tape ______________________________________________________________________________ The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma has a requirement for the acquisition of 13 Radio Communication Test Sets, Aeroflex Inc, part number 2947A, NSN 6625-01-495-8448 for shipment to 13 sites. The test sets are used on Very High Frequency Omnirange (VOR), Radio Communications Link (RCLR) and Glide Slope (GS) equipment at 13 FAA sites. Also supplied with these items are operating and service manuals, training tapes, manufacturer's standard warranty on new equipment and calibration in conformance with NIST standards. Aeroflex, Inc, is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of these radio communication test sets and retains the proprietary rights to the original design and technical data. The FAA lacks technical data, plans, drawings, manufacturing specifications, and other necessary documentation for full and open competition. The contractor must have access to the OEM's specifications and drawings or be an authorized distributor of Aeroflex Inc. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof of rights to use the data from the OEM or documentation identifying your company as an authorized distributor. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA.
