Description
This Screening Information Request (SIR) is a Total Small Business Set-Aside (NAICS 238210) Description of Work: This project involves installation of government-furnished equipment shelters, a forty foot tall antenna tower and airport lighting systems. In addition, the contractor must construct duct bank and utility vaults connecting the various systems, and access roads at Mahlon Sweet Field, Eugene, Oregon. There are two small equipment shelters that must be placed on simple foundations and connected to electrical service and an earthen grounding system. There are twelve light stations to construct over a distance of 2,400 feet for the primary lighting system. Most of the light stations are to be mounted on tilt down structures up to 20 feet in height. The light stations are connected to the equipment shelter with buried conduits and utility vaults spaced at approximately 200 foot intervals. The there are two additional lighting systems that are to be bid as additive options (funding permitting). The two additional systems involve construction of roads, light station foundations, remote power and control stations and duct bank. The Contractor will be required to perform an electrical startup procedure for each of the systems that are installed. Project work is located inside the airport area of operations and activities must be coordinated with the Airport Operations Staff and the FAA Air Traffic Control Tower. Contract duration for completion of all work shall be 90 calendar days. A prebid meeting and site visit will be conducted on May 17, 2006, beginning at 10 am local time Eugene, Oregon, at the West Conference Room of the Eugene Airport Administrative Building, 28855 Lockheed Drive, in Eugene, Oregon 97402.
