- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this procurement is FA4801-06-T-0175 and this is a Request For Quotation (RFQ). This announcement will be issued as a combined synopsis/solicitation. The anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract; the award will be made based on the Best Value to the Government. The delivery time will be 45 After Receipt of Award. The solicitation shall incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-07. This acquisition is to be 100% set aside and awarded to Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 313210. The Small Business size standard for this code is 1,000 employees. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: CLIN 0001-1ea: NON-PERSONAL SERVICE: CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL LABOR, TOOLS, PARTS, MATERIALS, FACILITIES, AND TRANSPORTATION NECESSARY TO TEAR DOWN, INSPECT, QUOTE, AND REPAIR A NET, ASSEMBLY, BAK-15 STYLE HP-30 (150FT) NETTING SYSTEM. FOR A BAK-15 AIRCRAFT ARRESTING SYSTEM. CLIN 0002-2ea: NON-PERSONAL SERVICE: CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL LABOR, TOOLS, PARTS, MATERIALS, FACILITIES, AND TRANSPORTATION NECESSARY TO TEAR DOWN, INSPECT, QUOTE, AND REPAIR A NET, ASSEMBLY, BAK-15 STYLE HP-30 (200FT) NETTING SYSTEM. HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE REPAIR OF BAK-15 NETS STATEMANT OF WORK April 5, 2006 1.0 Overview Three HP-30 BAK-15 nets are in need of repairs. One net was damaged while in service and needs repairs to two horizontal straps near the left side termination loops. Two more nets were originally designed for a 200? runway span. For Holloman?s requirements they need to be reduced to 150?. 2.0 Qualifications of Service Company The Company must be qualified and approved for this type of repair on USAF and ANG BAK-15 (Style HP-30) netting systems by the 542nd SEVSG/GBZO-ENI at Robbins AFB GA. Contact Jason McDuffy DSN: 472-1741or (478) 222-1741 for details. 3.0 Scope of work 3.1.) Pick up 1 ea. 150? net assembly from Holloman AFB NM. This net has a total of six months of service time on it. Fully inspect and make repairs to this net to include two horizontal straps that have been cut near the termination loops on the left side. All repairs and adjustments must meet or exceed standards and methods in accordance with USAF Technical Order 35E8-2-12-1. Net must be fully serviceable as designed for a 4.5 year life span. All work must be completed and delivered back to Holloman AFB within 45 days. 3.2.) Pick up 2 each 200? net assemblies from Holloman AFB NM. Reduce both nets from 200? to 150? runway span application. All adjustments must be in accordance with Technical Order 35E8-2-12-1. Nets must be fully serviceable as designed for a 5 year life span. All work must be completed and delivered back to Holloman AFB within 45 days. All three nets can be bulk shipped to economize freight costs.
