Description
The Government intends to procure under full and open competition procedures various medical gasses and the rental and exchange of gas cylinders for the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP), Virginia. This requirement calls for the contractor to make regularly scheduled routine delivery/returns to take place on every Monday and Thursday. The contractor must be able to provide emergency deliveries within 2 hours during normal working hours (8:00 am ? 4:30 pm Monday-Friday). The contractor shall provide the driver to pick-up and deliver medical gas cylinders. The contractor shall provide vehicles used for transporting the medical gas that meet Department of Transportation regulations. The contractor must be physically located within one hour driving time (based on standard workday driving conditions) of NMCP. FOB point is destination. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 424690 and the size standard is 500 employees. The resulting contract will be for the base period of 01 July 2006 ? 30 September 2006, with four one-year options. This requirement is a follow-on to N00189-01-D-0293 awarded to Indusco Corporation, 2601 I Trade Street, Chesapeake, VA 23323. The proposed requirement will be awarded under a Firm Fixed Price contract and will utilize procedures under FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. When the Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued, it may be downloaded by accessing http://www.neco.navy.mil or at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This office no longer issues hardcopy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the offeror will be self certifying that neither the principal corporate officials or owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the offerrors at anytime prior to award.
