- All Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR) in order to be considered for award. Information on the registration process can be found on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov. You may call 1-888-222-2423 for help This project is for the maintenance of 424.50 kilometers of trail adjacent to and within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area. Maintenance to be accomplished by Primitive Skills (use or possession of motorized or mechanized equipment is prohibited within the Wilderness Area). Chainsaws and power equipment are allowed on the non-Wilderness portions of the trails. Motorized travel is prohibited on all the trails included, except for Three Brothers Trail. This is a multi-year contract. The first year will be a minimum quantity of 194.7 kilometers. The second year will be dependent on availability of funds. Estimated start work date is 6/15/2006 with 75 days contract time. Solicitation will be available approximately 5/11/2006. This project is being advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplitied Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules.
