PROJECT TITLE: Sac Bank Upper Sacramento River Critical Erosion Sites LOCATION: Sutter and Colusa Counties, California Estimated Magnitude of this Project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 This Procurement will be conducted under FSC CODE: Z299, SIC CODE: 1629, NAICS Code: 237990. The size standard for this code is $31,000,000. Information about the time and location of the sit e visit will be found in Section 00100 of the specifications. TYPE OF AWARD: This acquisition is proceeding as a Competitive Section 8(a) Invitation for Bids (IFB) with any resultant award being a Firm-Fixed-Price construction contract. Only those contractors whos approved Business Plan is on file with the SBA Fre sno, Sacramento or San Francisco District Offices may participate. ALL OTHER FIRMS ARE DEEMED INELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT OFFERS. JOB DESCRIPTION: This project will repair two (2) erosion sites of the levee along the Upper Sacramento River (River Mile 99.3-Sutter County and 123.5-Colusa County). Work will consist of riprap rock placed bank protection (to include some in-place levee fill), rebuilding the toe bench to include anchoring in-stream woody material, seeding of all disturbed areas with native grasses, and planting of trees and shrubs on the bench and waterside slope. COIR Fabric may also be required. The Scope of Work (SOW) will also inclu de a 3-year post-construction establishment and maintenance requirement for the trees and shrubs. Most work performance will be accomplished on the land-side of the levee. The stone gradation that will be required is as follows (Stone Weight Pounds:Cumul ative % Finer by Weight): 400:100; 250:70-100; 100:50-80; 30:32-58; 5:15-34; 1:2-20; less than ?-inch max dimension:0-10. The total preliminary estimated quantity of riprap that will be required is 53,000 tons. All BIDS will be due on/about 20 June 2006/1:00 pm PST, at which time bid opening will occur. The acquisition method is sealed bidding. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECT ION, EVALUATION, AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS.
