- NASA/DFRC has a requirement for Pilot Training. Provide an annual training six month recurrency training/proficiency check in the Gulfstream III DC aircraft to include unlimited simulator proficiency practice as desired as well as an annual recurreccy training/proficiency check in the King Air check. NASA/DFRC intends to purchase the service from Flight Safety International, Inc. LA Guardia Airport, Flushing New York 11371. NASA Dryden has adopted their copywritten training materials as our basis for continuing aircraft operations due to their clarity and seamless integration with the aircraft manufacturers guidance. Their training is compatible with our varied operations and we are able to request ad-hoc changes in their training programs for specific events to insure we are able to fly them in the simulator before performing them in the airplane. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on ____5/22/06_______. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
