Description
The United States Bankruptcy Court in Providence, Rhode Island has a requirement for the purchase and installation of a telecommunications system for its offices at the Federal Center, 380 Westminster Street, Providence, RI 02903. The Federal Center is a six-story building. The main point of presence (MPOP)is located on the 6th floor. There are two wire closets on this floor. The building horizontal voice-wiring standard is ?four pair?. The system shall be installed in the Automation Department. This room is approximately ten feet X twenty-four feet. Standard Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) support the room. In submitting their proposals, the offerors shall supply floor load requirements of all equipment to be housed in this room, as well as footprint dimensions of all equipment and HVAC requirements. The proposed system shall be capable of accepting Primary Rate Interface (PRI)ISDN and/or Central Office Trunking from the Local Exchange Carrier (LEC), and provide Basic Rate Interface (BRI), digital, or analog where required to the stations. General Requirements: The system shall be a distributed, digital switching system with a redundant central processing unit (hot standby CPU) and redundant memory. The system shall be modular to enable expansion to full capacity without replacement of any significant amount of previously installed hardware. The system shall provide for the customer database/system configuration to be automatically backed to a tape, floppy disk, or some other type of storage medium. The system shall support universal card slots. The system shall be configured to support, at a minimum, the quantity of DID numbers purchased (estimated at 50) and, one ISDN PRI with call by call selection, and be able to support direct inward dialing (DID) and direct outward dialing (DOD). The system shall be able to present the network provided calling number (Automatic Numbering Information (ANI)) on telephone displays. It shall be equipped with an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) capable of providing power for a four (4) hour minimum at maximum load. Offerors are to specify the power requirements for all system components. Proposed systems may be AC or DC power. The proposed system shall be able to support automatic call distribution (ACD), Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) (both TAPI and TSAPI), interactive voice response (IVR), ISDN-PRI access from the public switched telephone network, Voice over Internet Protocol, Video Conferencing Equipment and ISDN-BRI station lines compatible with the National ISDN 1 standard at a minimum.
