- The AmeriCorps*VISTA department is in need of a facility that can provide conference space, lodging space, and meals in order to conduct the AmeriCorps*VISTA Pre-Service Orientations (PSO) and Supervisor?s Trainings in the Minneapolis, MN metropolitan area. These attendees will receive information pertinent to their roles as an AmeriCorps*VISTA members and supervisor?s. The A*VISTA department will need this facility for the following dates: August 7-10, 2006. Please note: There may be up to 10 percent variation between time of bid and conference event: We will confirm actual numbers prior to the event. Single Sleeping Rooms-all of these are for Supervisor?s Trainings 10-25-Single rooms for August 7-9, 2006 Double Sleeping Rooms-these rooms are for the PSOs 50-80-Double rooms for August 7-9, 2006 Meeting Space-All meeting space should be on a 24-hour hold with no obstructions that could affect training set-up for round tables, not obstruction of view with pillars or other item, no pipe and drape set-ups. (Meeting rooms and at least 25% of sleeping rooms must be accessible to physically challenged individuals). General Session 1 rectangle tables at front of general session room each day for presenter materials 1-August 7-10, 2006 for 100-200 attendees set in rounds of six to eight from 6:00am-8:30pm Breakouts 1 rectangle tables at front of breakout room each day for presenter materials 4-8-August 7-10, 2006 for 30 attendees set in rounds of six to eight from 6:00am-8:30pm Office or Boardroom set for 15-20 people conference style 1-August 7-10, 2006 Meals (At least 25% of all attendees at meals will be vegetarians or vegans). AM Breaks should include coffee, tea refresh; PM breaks should include coffee, teas, soft drinks, and light snacks. Meals served buffet style. All meals should be served in separate space other than meeting space for duration of the events. Full Breakfast 100-200-August 8-10, 2006-6:45am-8:00am AM Break 100-200-August 8-10, 2006-10:00am-10:30am Lunch 100-200-August 8-10, 2006-12:00pm-1:00pm PM Break 100-200-August 8-9, 2006-3:00pm-3:30pm Dinner 100-200-August 7-9, 2006-6:00pm-7:30pm Audio Visual Equipment Message board and registration table (Six large tables and a message board should be set up in the assigned registration area starting at 1:00pm August 7, 2006 and remaining there until the events conclude.) Flip Chart and Markers 1- August 7-10, 2006 in registration area 4-8-August 7-10, 2006-1 in general session room; 1 in each breakout; 1 in conference/boardroom Overhead Projector and Screen 4-8-August 7-10, 2006-1 in each breakout Lavaliere Microphone 1-August 7-10, 2006 in general session Handheld Microphone 1-August 7-10, 2006 in general session VCR 1-August 7, 2006 in general session Sound Mixer 1-August 7-10, 2006 in general session Telephone with outside line 1-August 7-10, 2006 in registration area Transportation If applicable, shuttle service needed on August 7th and 10th, 2006 Miscellaneous Items Phones, faxing, copying needed by CNCS staff Parking for participants
