- Proposals are being sought for reconstruction of the Salmon La Sac Campground & Cayuse Horse Camp, on the Cle Elum Ranger District, Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forest, near Cle Elum, Washington. The work consists of reconstruction of the Salmon La Sac campground and Cayuse Horse Camp. Work includes minor tree clearing, reconstruction of road and camp spurs, construction of new camp spurs and turnouts. Road work includes borrow placement, reconditioning and pulverization of existing asphalt, aggregate placement and asphalt paving. Additional items include hand pump & pads, installation of picnic tables, fire grills, metal horse corral, kiosk and fee station, gate installation, campground entrance and traffic control signs. Total contract time is 100 calendar days, with work expected to commence around July 10, 2006. The estimated cost range for the project is $250,000 to $500,000, with performance and payment bonds due after award. No site visit is scheduled.
