Description

It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), to negotiate on a sole source basis with Telco Power and Cable for continuation of services for installing and maintaining the power and mechanical systems used in the computer center. CIT requires constant updating of the physical infrastructure in particular the electrical and mechanical aspects of the environment to provide services during power losses; and to ensure that those services will continue to run, and that data will not be lost. Many highly critical Departmental and IC?s programs both administrative and research oriented, rely on CIT?s ability to keep the multitude of systems up and running on a 24x7 schedule. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ), nor is an RFQ available, however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the NLM. Firms interested in responding to this notice must be able to provide professional service as stated above. Responses should sufficiently demonstrate the firm's ability to meet the government's requirements. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
