Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) Q1574055038. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-04 and are available in full text through Internet access at http://www.arnet.gov/far. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged and women owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 324121 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The following is a description of the requirements for this acquisition: ITEM #0001: 5500 Tons of PG-58-28 with 1/2% antistrip hot mix using a 3 bin aggregate gradation for the mix. Quote shall include all labor, material and equipment necessary to supply hot mix at a plant to be located by the successful quoter within a 10 mile radius of Gardiner Montana, the North Entrance to Yelllowstone Park. National Park Service trucks will pick up the mix at the plant for distribution to the park locations. Due to weather conditions, paving will not occur every day. Days of production could require from a minimum of 200 tons to a maximum of 900 tons of hot mix per day. Approximate start date June l, 2006 subject to award of contract. Delivery must be completed by October 30, 2006, as per scheduled with the Contracting Officer's Representative on-site. DELIVERY LOCATION: Hot mix plant must be located within a 10 mile radius of Gardiner Montana, the North Entrance to Yellowstone Park.
