Description: Description of Work: An E. coli expression strain containing the capsule deploymerase gene (CapD) of Bacillus anthracis cloned into pET15b will be provided to a biomanufacturing laboratory by USAMRIID. The laboratory will use the strain to produce milligram quantities of the CapD enzyme for immunization studies and potential therapeutic studies. We anticipate protein purity to be at least 90% or greater for each delivered protein and the protein concentration should be greater than 2 mg/ml. The la boratory will provide images of the final protein preparations that were analyzed by denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis with appropriate size standards NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (11-MAY-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
