- This is a combined/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is RFQ6033 and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-09). This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) intend to procure a Multifunctional Scanner Imaging System with filter and holder. The Multifunctional Scanner Imaging is needed to detect radioisotopic with high throughput and high sensitivity. The Multifunctional Scanner Imaging System must be equipped with the following components: 1) a maximum of three lasers with optional upgrades helping cover a broader fluorescent range; 2) must perform silver-stained, CBB-stained gel documentation; 3) must have easy-to-access four filters along with imaging plate filter for upgrading flexibility. 4) must have an imaging plate accumulates irradiated radiation energies on exposure for further scanning excitation process; 5) must have a supply voltage of AC100-240V+-10%, power supply frequency 50/60Hz; and must have four optical filters that are changeable by users, allows users to select appropriate fluorescent dyes for specific applications. The North American Industry Classification System (NIACS) Code for this acquisition is 334516, and the small-business size standard is 500 employees. This is a firm fixed-price contract and the FOB term is ?Origin? and Net 30.
