Description
USAF UAV Battlelab Lightweight Sensor Industry Day The USAF UAV Battlelab is hosting a Lightweight Sensor Industry Demonstration from 15 - 17 May 2006. The UAV Battlelab is interested in demonstrating an off-board sensing reconnaissance capability using a lightweight sensor on a small air-launched Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) and is conducting market research for lightweight sensors. The focus of the Lightweight Sensor Industry Week is to demonstrate the capabilities of the camera component of the sensor. Cameras will only be demonstrated from ground locations. Cameras must meet the following requirements for participation in the demonstration: Weight (camera, lens and associated electronics): 5.5lbs maximum Resolution: Identify a 0.5 meter target at 2000 ft slant range Sensitivity: IR: NETD 0.05? C maximum EO: 0.00001 Lux maximum The demonstration will be conducted at the UAV Battlelab, adjacent range, and city. The UAV Battlelab is located at: Creech Air Force Base NV 1355 H Street, Bldg 271 Creech Air Force Base NV 89018 Each company is required to participate in all five phases of the demonstration. Each company is required to provide camera, lenses, battery power supply, display monitor, and all required connection hardware. Companies will provide no more than two representatives each. Each company presentation is limited to 15 minutes or less as the demonstration will be conducted in the field and minimal conference time will be available. Companies will fund their individual travel, labor and demonstration expenses. Companies that wish to participate are required to provide 1st Lt Ohrenberger with camera technical specifications no later than Friday 12, May 2006.
