Description

TACOM-RI intends to issue Sole Source Request For Proposal (RFQ) Thermo Electron Scientific Instruments, LLC, 5225 Verona Road, Madison, WI 53771-4497 for 1 each ARL 3460 Optical Emission Spectrometer (vacuum version) with: installation of spectromet er, basic training in operation of spectrometer during installation, one additional day of on-site instruction on equipment operation immediately following completion of the installation, one four day training course at manufacturers training facility to be provided within twelve months from date of installation, and a 13 month warranty ( from date of shipment ) against defects in workmanship and materials to include labor, travel , hotels, meals and incidental expenses This notice is neither a request f or proposals nor an invitation for bid. However, all information received by close of business on 17 May 2006 will be considered by the Government. Information received will only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competit ive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice will be entirely at the discretion of the Government.
