- Description
- The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Transport and Satellite Branch, Procurement Section (DITCO/PL8221), Scott AFB, IL 62225, intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to TMA Net for a software patch to the Nortel MSL-100 telephone switch to enable Defense Switch Network (DSN) call forwarding across the public switched telephone network in accordance with FAR 6.302. TMA Net currently holds the contract for the maintenance of this switch and all resident software. To procure this software patch from other than TMA Net would void the current maintenance contract which is in its first option year (expiring on 30 April 2007) with three additional options remaining. This is not a request for quotation. There are no solicitation documents. Vendors desiring to submit quotations must substantiate that they can provide this patch without voiding the current maintenance agreement. If it is determined that a patch can be provided without voiding the current contract for maintenance of the switch, a request for quotation will be issued and quotations will be evaluated as part of a competitive acquisition. Vendors must submit information regarding their ability to provide the subject software patch without voiding the current contract to DITCO/PL8221 no later than COB 31 May 2006. If no valid information is received by 31 May 2006, a purchase order will be issued to TMA Net to provide this software patch.
