Description
The contractor shall provide construction services for the replacement of the Williams River Bridge at Three Forks of the Williams River on the Monongahela National Forest in Webster County, West Virginia. The project will involve, but not be limited to, the construction of new piers, abutments, and superstructure for a two span continuous girder bridge and the removal of the existing bridge. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies, and perform all work required in accordance with drawings and specifications of the contract. Location of project: Take I-79 N toward to US-19 S exit 57 toward Beckley, turn right onto US-19, US-19 will become Mountaineer Expy (9.9 miles), turn left onto Birch River Rd / Widen-Dille Rd/ CR 1, continue to follow Widen-Dille Rd, turn left onto CR-19/41, turn onto WV-82/ Lick Run Road/ Widen-Dille Rd, continue to follow Widen-Dille Rd, turn left onto WV-82 (15.4 miles), turn left onto WV 20 to Cowen, WV. From Cowen take Forest Road 86 Williams River Road approximately 12 miles to the site. The Technical Contact for this project is Mary Smakula, who can be reached at 304-636-1800. This solicitation will be advertised as an unrestricted procurement using the sealed bidding format and a 20% bid bond will be required, as well as past performance data, for a firm fixed price, construction contract, under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. A price evaluation preference will be given to HUBZone concerns, if any apply. This solicitation will be available electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: http://www.eps.gov/, on approximately April 17, 2006.
