(I) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (II) The solicitation number is HSCEOP-06-Q-00039; this announcement constitutes the request for quote (RFQ) the required items. (III) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clause are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-08 January 5, 2006. (IV) This procurement is a small business set-aside, company size less than 100 employees. (V) Items the Office of Acquisition Management is requesting an RFQ for: 6000 each MRE Variety Pack w/heater, 2040 each MRE Variety entrees and 7200 each MRE Variety Desserts. (VI) Brand name (MRE?s) or equal (VII) Delivery of items shall be FOB and completed not later than 30 days after award to Largo, MD 20774, complete address and point of contact shall be provided upon award. (VIII) Provisions in 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors?Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (IX) Provision in 52.212-2, Evaluation?Commercial Items, meals shall be in accordance with Mil Spec MIL-PRF-44073F, 4 September 2001.
