Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09. List of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure, (including option(s), if applicable): 0001 Base Year (Contract award - 30 Sep 06) 1 JB $____________ 1001 Option Year 1 (1 Oct 06 - 30 Sep 07) 1 JB $____________ 2001 Option Year 2 (1 Oct 07 - 30 Sep 08) 1 JB $____________ 3001 Option Year 3 (1 Oct 08 - 30 Sep 09) 1 JB $____________ 4001 Option Year 4 (1 Oct 09 - 30 Sep 10) 1 JB $____________ TOTAL COST $____________ Evaluation will be based on the aggregate value of the entire contract Services non-personal to provide all labor, tools, material, and transportation to provide for annual and quarterly preventive maintenance inspection of all air-cooled chillers at VA's Palo Alto Campus as follows: o Meging and recording compressor motor winding resistance o Pressure wash the condenser coils o Checking the oil level in the lube system; adding oil as required; and conducting an oil acidity test and laboratory oil analysis o Conducting a refrigerant leak check and correcting leaks; also adding refrigerant as required (refrigerant not included) o Checking the crankcase heater for proper operation o Tightening the power wiring on contactors and in the motor terminal box o Cleaning all contactors and recommending replacement if required o Checking all relays, operating controls and safeties o Checking and calibrating all controls, safeties, unloaders, and external interlocks o Checking for general condition and operation o Logging operating conditions and identifying inconsistencies o Adjusting operating controls if required o Checking for proper oil level and refrigerant charge o Checking the oil temperature and compressor heater o Inspecting starter, relays and controls o Inspecting the air-cooled condenser fans, and motor operation o Removing debris from inside and around the unit o Reviewing operating procedures and the owner's log with the operator EQUIPMENT LIST: o 2 @ ME Building, 2003 o 2 @ Bld 7, 2002 o 2 @ Bld 54, 2004, 2005 o 1 @ Bld 4, 1994 (estimate) o 2 @ Bld 5, 1994 (estimate) o 1 @ Bld 6, 2005 o 2 @ Bld 48, 2005 o 2 @ Bld 51, 2005 o 2 @ Bld 102, 2004, 2005 o 2 @ Bld 100, 1994 (estimate) * Initial base year inspection and maintenance will be considered as the Annual Inspection.
