Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA intends to award a Sole Source Firm Fixed-Priced contract to Talley Defense Systems, Inc., Mesa, AZ for 83mm Shoulder-Launched Multipurpose Assault Weapon (SMAW) ammunition as follows: SMAW-NE, Rocket, Encased SMAW-NE MK 80 MOD 0, DODIC HA34, NSN 1340-01-503-0809, PN 01365-82A5027A2375. The estimated quantity required is 7,200 rockets. Talley Defense Systems, Inc. is currently producing this ammunition for the Marine Corps under a sole source contract. Talley Defense Systems, Inc possesses unique knowledge and production line capabilities for immediate production of the required item and is therefore the only vendor deemed qualified to provide this item. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332993, Ammunition (Except Small Arms) Manufacturing. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DoD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). Online Certifications and Representatio! ns at (ORCA), http://orca.bpn.gov, will also be required. Failure to comply with ORCA registration may make a vendor offeror ineligible for award. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a white paper, technical data for the item, and past performance data no later than 14 June 2006 to Commanding General, Marine Corps Systems Command, Attn: Code PMM 2041, 2200 Lester St., Quantico, VA 22134. Responses received by 30 May 2006 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open basis is solely within the discretion of the Government. Refer to Numbered Note 22.
