Description
DESIGN/BUILD SITE SECURITY LIGHTING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT AMERICAN CONSULATE GENERAL, DHAHRAN, SAUDI ARABIA. The Regional Procurement Support Office in Frankfurt, Germany intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Type Contract in June/July 2006. The scope of work requires the successful Contractor to provide professional design services, and construction of site security lighting as described in the Overseas Buildings Operations Design Guidelines for Site Lighting provided in OBO-ICS IZC, design for the central control and distribution from the consulate guard station (Post 1). The new distribution shall refeed the existing site lighting panels located on the consulate compound from a new distribution panelboard located at the consulate building. The new distribution panelboard shall have a new photocell control for operation of site lighting fixtures from dusk to dawn as well as remote override and control by the guard in Post 1 located in the consulate. The control shall have ?ON?, ?OFF?, and ?AUTO? switches. All off control shall be via an emergency palm switch. The contractor shall provide a new backup generator for the Site Lighting. The generator shall be sized to accommodate the existing site lighting loads, the new site lighting loads and up to 20% future growth for site lighting. The generator shall provide 100 percent backup power to the new site lighting distribution panel through a new 4-pole automatic transfer switch and over current protection. Provide a sub base day tank for generator operation. The contractor shall conduct a complete site survey, and determine the optimal location for the new generator. The generator shall be provided in a weather proof, sound attenuating enclosure. The contractor shall explore the possibility of mounting the light poles directly on the anti-ram portion of the interior of the perimeter wall. Structural and architectural considerations shall be explored for this option. A Pre-Proposal conference and Site Visit is scheduled for 10:00 hours on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at the American Consulate General, Dhahran. The estimated price for this project is between $100,000 and $500,000 U.S. Dollars for the entire project. In conjunction with DOSAR 652.242-73 AUTHORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE (AUG 1999), requests for the solicitation package shall contain a statement that licensing and other requirements to perform work in Saudi Arabia have been reviewed/researched prior to application. Solicitation and award will be subject to the laws and regulations of the United States of America and is being competed utilizing full and open competition procedures.
