Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Electronic Proving Ground, Fort Huachuca, Arizona is soliciting proposals for the following requirement: ARC Antenna Sled Modifications; to include the following requirements: Modify / Replace Arc antenna sled. The new sled should run smoothly with minimal perturbations as it is pulled up and down the Arc. The front plate where the antenna is mounted should be made of a non-conducting, non-metallic material. The sled should be capa ble of supporting antennas up to 50 lbs; Modify / Replace Arc cable reel and guide track. The Arc cable reel should maintain a constant pressure on the RF cable, unreeling and reeling the cable as the Arc sled moves up and down. The current cable reel mo ves side to side at a fixed rate and was designed for a cable width of approximately 1 inch. When larger cable diameters are currently used, the cable bunches over itself, jumps its guide track, and is harmed. The new cable reel and guide track should be capable of supporting variable cable widths up to 2 ? inches. The guide track should support the cable and protect it from sharp edges as the cable traverses up the Arc. Note that the Arc cables are approximately 160 feet long, and the guide track is ap proximately 145 feet long. There are currently approximately a few hundred cable rollers along this length. EVALUATION CRITERIA / PROCEDURES: Offers will be evaluat ed based on the following best value criteria in descending order of importance: Meeting the Requirement, Proposed Delivery Schedule, Past Performance and Price. The Synopsis/ solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-22 and 2001-23. This is a Small Business Set Aside. The following FAR provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial items, and 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items, applies to the acquisition. Offerors sh all include a completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, and furnish Offeror's Federal Tax Identification Number, Cage Code, Central Contractor Registration Number, DUNS Number and applicable F SC Codes with this offer.
