Description

DESC: 1005-01-M98-0439, Part Number 13010899, M249 Overhaul Parts Kit. There is no procurement history for this item. The item to procure is a: Mandatory replacement overhaul parts kit for the M249 Machine Gun which consists of (63) different part nu mbers with various quantities for a total of (10,085, per kit) and includes pins, bushings, screws, nuts, washers, springs, nylon plugs, and extractor gun parts and detent kits that requires close tolerance machining from various grades of steel with a pho sphate finish applied. FOB is destination. For use on the M249 Light Machinegun. Estimated issue date is 31 May 06. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vend ors wanting an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendment s thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any am endments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same. The propose d contract will be a five (5) year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). The guaranteed minimum quantity is 65 each, and the total maximum contract quantity is 400 each. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet.?Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request TDP by submission of an email request to:?tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number.?A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY06 requirement.
