Description

Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 from Leica GeoSystems, San Ramon, CA 94583. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)  on ly one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12. This requirement is for the annual maintenance for Cyclone  MODEL, P/N 88701, REGISTER, P/N 88703, and Gold Service Package with Extension of Warranty, P/N 89136. Leica Geosystems is the only manufacturer and distributor of the HDS3000 precision equipment and software (REGISTER, MODEL). Interested organizations may submit their capabilities/qualifications to p erform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 1530 hrs Central Time Zone on 21 May 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptab le in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
