Description
The Contractor shall furnish all plant, materials, labor, services, equipment, supervision, and performance necessary to re-roof Government-furnished houses, apartment buildings, and garages for various locations on the Navajo Indian Reservation at these Bureau of Indian Affairs locations. Western Navajo Agency: Kaibeto Boarding School, Kaibeto, Navajo County, Arizona; Building Nos. 430, 432, 433, 436, 440, and 441. Eastern Navajo Agency: Crownpoint Boarding School, Crownpoint, McKinley County, New Mexico; Building Nos. 3154, 3155, and 3156. Chinle Agency, Chinle Boarding School, Apache County, Arizona; Building Nos. 1067, 1070, 1071, 1072, 1076, 1086, 1087, 1088, and 1111. Fort Defiance Agency, Window Rock Headquarters, Apache County, Arizona; Building Nos. 36, 39, and 49. Verification of actual dimensions, materials, angles (skews), alignment, existing elevations, and all existing conditions shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor. The Bureau of Indian Affairs requires a firm, fixed-price construction contract. This is a full and open competition acquisition, and is set-aside for small business. Period of Performance will be 120 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. The estimated dollar value of this procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000. Bid opening date is scheduled at 2:00 P.M. (local time), June 26, 2006, at BIA, Navajo Regional Office, 301 W. Hill Ave., 3rd Floor Conference Room No. 342, Gallup, New Mexico 87301. Twenty-five (25) sets of solicitation packages will be available on a first come, first serve basis until the supply is exhausted. Technical inquiries must be submitted in writing seven (7) days before the closing date. Bidders are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. All responsive bids from responsible bidders will be considered. Interested firms are requested to submit a written request to obtain the solicitation package either by mail or by facsimile, Fax No. (505) 863-8382 to the attention of Lynelle Benallie. Telephone requests to obtain the solicitation package will not be accepted. Contract award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
