Description
This is a notice of intent from the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division to issue a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Task Order to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, 600 Grumman Road West, Bethpage, NY 11714 under existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00421-05-G-0001. This contract is for the coordination of the Advanced Area Defense Interceptor (AADI) demonstrations. Advanced Area Defense Interceptor (AADI) is a project within the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Missile Defense Future Naval Capabilities (FNC), focused on the coordination of a Navy ADSAM (Air Directed Surface to Air Missile) demonstration in the FY08 timeframe. Navy ADSAM is a derived capability from the four Navy pillar programs of record (POR) consisting of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye (AHE), Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), Aegis Weapon Control System (WCS), and SM-6 active seeker missile. The ADSAM Demonstration will involve the assembly of test assets from the four PORs at WSMR in the FY08 timeframe to support data collections and live fire testing. Under the AADI project, resources have also been allocated to support a USMC led data collection and live fire demonstration of an Air Directed Ground to Air Missile kill chain. The primary goal of the USMC led effort is to investigate the command and control necessary to support engagements in concert with other Navy assets for the purpose of doctrine development. Northop Grumman Systems Corporation is the prime for the E-2 aircraft. For information or questions regarding this notice, please contact Mr. Ben Hansford at (301) 757-9742.
