Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to make a single award of a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Quantity contract to a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business for the lease and maintenance of copiers for a base year plus four (4) options years. The VA currently owns and has operating approximately 140 copiers of various makes and models at two (2) medical centers, outpatient clinics and offices throughout northeast Ohio. These copiers will be traded in to the selected contractor and that same contractor will then lease to the VA approximately 140 new replacement copiers on a cost-per-copy basis. The per-copy cost will include all equipment, labor, key operator training, and materials (except paper and transparencies) necessary for copier maintenance. The agency is seeking innovated approaches for effectively and efficiently streamlining reproduction cost. The contractor is encouraged and expected to present innovative approaches to achieving this goals, while maintaining quality and best servicing users. This will NOT be a Lease to Purchase (LTOP). At the end of the period of performance, the contractor will take back possession of all copiers provided under the resultant contract. Award will be made to the responsible contractor whose proposal is responsive and conforming to the Request for Proposals (RFP), and is determined to be the best value to the government. The best value is the most advantageous offer, price and other factors considered. This acquisition will be accomplished in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, FAR Part 12-Acquisition of Commercial Items The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) is 532420. All prospective offers interested in submitting proposals must have a current registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. The solicitation will be issued on/about March 24, 2006. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (14-MAR-2006).
